Cons and Scams Awareness Meeting - Reminder

Alert message sent 20/04/2022 09:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

This is a message from Wycombe District Neighbourhood Watch Association

We are very pleased to announce that, with the kind co-operation of the vicar of Christ Church, Flackwell Heath, we will be holding a Cons, Scams & Cyber-Crime Awareness Meeting on Wednesday, 27th April, from 2.30pm in Christ Church, Chapel Road, Flackwell Heath, HP10 9AA.  Limited parking is available on the site and in Chapel Road.

This topic has become the top crime heading of all in recent years with more reports of it than of all other crime types together.  So often, cons, scams & cyber-crime can result in cases of fraud with extremely distressing results for the victims.

Greater awareness of the subject and how it manifests itself is the key to prevention.  This meeting will deal with issues coming into our lives through the telephone, across the doorstep, by post, and through the internet.  It will include stories of actual incidents as well as general advice and a short film from Friends Against Scams.

So, do come along to this meeting and learn more about all aspects of this crime in order to protect yourself, your family and your friends.

Admission is free of charge and everyone is welcome.

We look forward to seeing you!
