Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Oxford

Yesterday (29/11) at around 1.40pm the victim, a 23-year-old man, was stood on the High Street near to Magdalen Bridge, Oxford when he was approached by an unknown man on a bike who started shouting at him. The man then approached the victim and pushed him against the wall whilst threatening him.

Members of the public in a passing vehicle saw the incident and shouted at the offender to stop. The offender then got on his bike and cycled off in the direction of Cowley.

The offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 5ins tall with a short grey beard and muscly build. He was wearing a beanie hat, mirrored aviator sunglasses, a beige hip length jacket with a zip front and spoke with a local accent.
